How to Shoot a Bridal Fashion Show My husband and I have been asked to shoot a Bridal Fashion show. The auditorm holds around 450 people. This is the 1st annual one, so I don't know alot about it. We have a 70-200/ 2.8, which I think is best choice. Any other suggestions? Tips? Have no idea what lighting is going to be like. I would assume we could use flash.

Hi Kimberly, as a pro: don't assume ANYTHING! Check and doublecheck. These might be instructive: http://www.betterphoto.com/forms/QnAdetail.php?threadID=14719 http://www.betterphoto.com/forms/QnAdetail.php?threadID=25316 Have fun!

But the very best thing you can do to prepare yourselves well is a real-life TEST RUN! A full "dress rehearsal". At that particular location, with the full lighting that's gonna be there, with model(s), and with all the gear you intend to use on "D-day". Most bridal shows have full dress rehearsals anyway. Good luck!

Oh, and BTW, on D-Day also shoot the full auditorium (if it IS full!), shoot the backstage high-tension atmosphere, and shoot the "glitterati": the people in the first 2 rows sitting right up close to the catwalk. You can sell those to publications too!

Thanks again... We did a last minute pageant Saturday night that did not turn out well... wish I could have been at that rehearsal...
