Photography Question

Digital storage/traveling in Europe

We are getting ready to take a trip to France. I have a Canon 10D and know that I will be filling my Flash Cards up quickly. I would like to know what others think is the best storage system to invest in (compact, LCD screen big enough to view images, etc????) for our trip.

If you want to spend 400+ I would recommend te Epson LCD Viewer. Their latest model, P5000 has an 80GB hard drive and will hold roughly 5,000 RAW captures, plus a 4" screen. I know you can also get their earlier models for less since this one came out. The P5000 is about $500 I think. I couldn't justify the expense at the time and ended up with an X-Drive that I came across. I had an old laptop drive that I popped in and for under $100 I can hold the same amount of pictures, but without the luxury of an LCD screen.

try Wolverine (wolverinedata.com) For $500 you can get a 120GB Wolverine ESP with card slots for direct download from your cards, it also holds MP3 files and with extra cables and a firmware upgrade it records movies. The LCD screen is big and bright. I have one that I take on vacation and also use as an external hard drive at home. I have something like 16,000 pictures, a dozen movies and 80 songs on mine and have used up just over half it's memory. The ESP is also cheaper per GB than any other brand I've found with an LCD screen.
