Photography Question

SYLVIA HOKE

limited editions

In regards to the print that is already framed, how do I go about numbering that for my client. on the backing? with my signature? is that going to be okay?
and also does it matter whether I use the original negative to make the copies or the scanned version to make digital copies?

yours truly

On the back: number, date and signature. With an indelible felt marker. You choose a fancy color.
Any special reason why you repeat this question, Sylvia?

"does it matter whether I use the original negative to make the copies or the scanned version to make digital copies?"

Whichever. The one you use is the original. As long as you destroy it after you've produced the max edition number. So that you REALLY can never again print 'm!
Of course, if you don't, and keep an 'original' anyway, and it comes out, nobody will ever trust you anymore...
