Photography Question

Brenda M. Wolfensberger

Anyone using morephotos.com

I'm trying to research various online proofing and sales and have come across morephotos.com and am wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Or does anyone have any suggestions and great experience with another?

I'm looking for one that will host the gallery, easy use, allow for setting prices, and possibly handle credit card processing. I'm not interested in them doing lab prints.

I've been looking at ezphotosales; smugmug; collages.net and morephotos.

thanks for any input!
Brenda

  I haven't heard of exphotosales, collages.net, or morephotos.com

I have done my share of research as well and have come up with a company that I am EXTREMELY pleased with, photoreflect.com I do all of my print sales through their free web-based program, Express Digital.

http://fight2flyphoto.photoreflect.com

The setup couldn't be easier, all you do is select your storefront template, drag-and-drop your pictures into your gallery (the program refers to each gallery as a catalog) make your changes/enhancements and publish it!

As for sales themselves, the possibilities are endless as you can select the specific photo-lab to fulfill your orders (so you can choose someone local) or fulfill them yourself and creat your own products and have the program keep track of your orders.

The photo editor (simple stuff such as brightness, color balance, etc. ) is really handy for making last-minute changes, and you can add really neat border effects along with text to your images.

Please check out my gallery to see what you think. The program also gives you the ability to password protect your galleries.

At present I am using www.backprint.com fulfilment services. They seem to be a complete service with added programs for keeping complete & accurate business records while marketing your photography on your own designed webpage they provide for you. They charge a 15% fee only on what you actually sell. You set your own photo prices too. Check them out for yourself.
