My pictures look wierd First of all, let me say that I am very new to BP and to digital photography. I was at a friends house and wanted to show her my gallery. When I brought it up on her computer most of my pictures looked different than how I see them on mine...Like they are kinda squished a little. I work off of a VAIO 14" laptop. Does this make a difference or does my "fooling around" with images change them in some way that becomes apparent on other computers? I wouls appreciate any advice. Thank you...Marta

Maybe her display settings aren't right for her monitor.

First you will have an icon on your computer Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. Double click on that, go to Graphic properties, you see color correction there, you can get you computer monitor color changed as you wish. Keep the color which you think is right.

I did't know there was settings for monitors. I hope I don't sound too pathetic but I don't really know very much about computers. I just got my first one a year ago. Thank you for your response. Marta

The images in your gallery look normal to me, so I would say that the problem is with your friend's graphics adaptor settings. She may have it set to a wide screen resolution that doesn't match the aspect ratio of her monitor, or may be using a refresh rate that her monitor doesn't support. Whatever the case, the problem is not with your images. Chris A. Vedros
