Photography Question

Leslie Browne

What to charge for a realtor's photo?

Hi there
A realtor has asked me to take her photo. She plans to use the image on her website, business cards, stationary, etc. She would want the rights to it. What should I charge besides my sitting fee? Thanks in advance for your advice.

As I'm assuming this is the first time you're doing something like this I would charge for session time, PP time, plus US$ 100 for the non-exclusive ©opyright (so she can use it as she sees fit, but so can you! E.g. for your portfolio or website).
This needs to be specified in writing (invoice).

  Hi

Thanks for your input. Yes, this is the first time I've been asked to do this type of portrait. So I will charge my normal sitting fee plus $100.00 per image for her exclusive right as well as my own right to use the images.

Thank you!

No, she gets the NON-EXCLUSIVE copyright.
