Photography Question

What does Photo Elements 5 need to run properly

Hi Fellow Shooters, Well it's time to buy me Elements 5. Two questions: How does EBay sell a hundred dollar Elements 5 for less than half price. Are they (the sellers) pirating disks? Just curious. I wrote and asked a couple of sellers how they could sell them so cheap. No reply. I'm going to buy from a brick and morter establishment. Comments anyone? Question 2: My computer exceeds what is required to load elements 5. However, do I need other stuff like Adobe 7, Flash Player or other gizzmos so Elements 5 runs smoothly on my computer? If so, are there free downloads I can get...and how? Thanks, "ps"

I adhere to the rule that if it's too good to be true it usually is. Elements is available at such an affordable price, I don't think it's really worth the risk of getting a "great deal" that may end up only costing your more later. If you have doubts, especially when it comes to your money, trust your gut...always.

The other software elements such as flash player aren't necessary for running the software, but they may allow you to take advantage of some video tutorials that may come included or that are available on the web. If utilize resources on the web, such applications are necessary.

Software is commonly pirated. eBay is apparently allowing sellers to participate in this sleazy market. Adobe deserves to make a decent buck from good products.

You do not need Adobe Acrobat 7; it has nothing to do with photography. These various media players may be on your computer, anyway.

I was teased at work for being a chump and paying $95 for the old Photoshop LE. I bought and registered it. A few months later, I got an email from Adobe offering full Photoshop for HALF price. There is often a payoff for being honest.

Thank you I. Perello and D. Nelson for responding to my questions. Hopefully, other BP members will read the questions and answers and give Adobe their due. Buy honest. Do not support pirateers. Thanks again guys, "ps"
