Photography Question

Cropping questions for baby photos..

when you shoot photos of babies or infants, do you crop in the camera? If so, I am wondering for all the "tight croppers" out there.... what do you do if your client wants an 8x10? OR do you usually leave enought room to crop if needed? Or do you shoot 2 of the same shot? One to crop if needed. Thanks and I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Desiree, that is a good question, but you already answered your own question....to leave enough room for crops. and for an 8x10, it's a little more than you'd expect. The last thing you want to do, is not have enough room to complete the crop as requested.

The other option is to encourage your customers to buy 8x12s, as that sticks with the camera/sensor ratio, which you won't have to crop.
