  IMHO, the one with borders is better - something about the jagged lines coinciding with the apparent frenetic motion of the boy.

  I like the borders, but would like to see them each with a few mm gap between, I think the borders won't interfere as much - otherwise without borders is ok, but a tad bland. I think you need something to break the continuity. Interesting though how subjective it is :)
