Photography Question

Blotchy Photos

Okay... I have already discussed how my photos render a reddish hue and I'm trying to get suggestions on fixing that. It seems like my pictures on skin tones are also blotchy. So I went to a friends house and we set my camera on all sorts of different settings and it seems when I set my camera on standard portrait style (Canon30D BTW) the faces on the subject are blotchy. When I set my camera on Faithful picture style and change color tone to +2 in Faithful style the faces on my subject look blended. So here's my question. Does that sound like a normal setting(Faithful), will it work under different circumstances or should I change it for outside pictures, or should I not have to be limited to Faithful in order to shoot people, in other words, does it sound like my camera needs sent to the factory to get fixed? Please help me guys... my warrenty is up beginning of March! Thanks

Why? Don't you want faithful photos?

Anyway, it's all very sketchy. Is this with or without flash? Is there daylight involved? Why don't you post examples? A picture paints a thousand words!

Meanwhile try again with your 30D in the 'P' setting.

Are you sure it isn't a matter of a powder puff being used in between shots? Or that the 'blended' one is really a little bit out of focus?

Okay... indoors under florescent light. Iso 100 7.1 125 Flash on
Camera set to WB- Flash.. I am going out of town tomorrow ..... won't be back till Sunday night late. I promise to post the pictures on monday morning and tell me what you think. Your awesome for helping me. Sometimes I have a hard time uploading pictures in the forum so I don't feel like messing with it tonight. I have packing to do. But if I can't upload in forum on Mon I'll post them in my gallery

Fluorescents, eh? There's my number one suspect. Could also be a simple matter of the shadow of somebody's cigarette smoke. Anyways, for the next installment of this saga I guess we'll have to wait for Monday, won't we?
What a cliffhanger...

Have fun!
