Photography Question

LINDA GUIDROZ

Fireworks

I will be taking pictures of fireworks at Walt Disney World. I have a Nikon D50 and I need to know what settings in need to put my camera on to take the fireworks. I do have a tripod and a remote for my camera but I am a dummy when it comes to knowing what settings to put my camera on. I guess I need a class on Nikon D50 101. Do I have my camera on Auto or use one of the other settings. Please help me out.
