Text in Contest Entries

How is text received in a photo contest? I have a poster type image that I created and wondered how it would be judged, or if the wording would detract. It certainly suits "inspirational."

You should read the contest rules thoroughly...and look at the winners. I don't see many with words or writting on them.

Debbie is right, very few winners with any text and borders do not seem to be overly popular with the judges either. I'd enter it though. You never know.

You can test the theory by entering it today as is, then take off the borders and text and enter it tomorrow.

BTW, I agree with Debbie and Sharon, you just don't see it much on the winners' page.

The text makes a nice presentation for a poster, but the contest focuses more on the actual photograph (as it should). But you never know - stranger things have happened.
