Train images? Hi guys, Just a quick question...which cateogory do you feel is the most appropriate for train images? I use Travel/Place...do you think that's the closest fit? As for night images...Special Effects...or still Travel/Place? Thanks for your help.

It goes under Bill's infamous trains...where else. Hi Bill! Seeing there is no still life/other category, I think elements of design is where most put those hard to place images.

I never thought about Elements of Design...I guess it makes sense with the leading lines of the track, the repitition of the cars, etc. Think I'll give it a try. Thanks Kaye!

Your night (or day for that matter) shots of the train, capturing the motion of the train will best fit in the "Special Effects" category IMO. Take a look at the 2006 August winners, Special Effects category. Interestingly, there are 2 winning photos capturing trains in motion.
