Senior Portrait shoot, Poses?

I have a friend ask me to do her senior pictures. I have a general idea of how do do them and all of that, I just don't know any poses or scenes that would be right for senior pictures. I have both film and digital cameras, I don't have studio lighting but I can use fill flash outside.
they will be taken late winter/ early spring. she is really into playing the piano so maybe I will try something along those lines. could anyone offer any ideas. or tips

Well I'll recommend a few famous piano player/singers/artist that probably would have great photos in their CD booklets. You could make your way to the library and study their shots and get ideas from them. The first is Mark Schultz. He's a Christian pianist. His CD cover is awesome and if I remember correctly there's a few images of him in his booklet inside the front CD cover. Here's his CD cover that I'm thinking of.

Ok I'm blanking out on people but you can search for famous pianists. Possibly Sarah McLachlan. Elton John's photos might be outdated but maybe give you some ideas. Look for Billy Joel.

I also went to a couple stock image sites and searched for "pianist" and "piano player" and came up with some nice images.

Hope this helps a tad.
