Color Space / Printing / Scanning Question... I have a small Canon S60 that has RAW capture but only captures photos in sRGB. When I import sRGB captures into PSE, what working space should I use? Most documentation says to use AdobeRGB 1998 as the working space if you plan to print images, but if the captures are in sRGB, should I still use AdobeRGB as the working space if I plan to print the images? If so, should I actually convert the images to AdobeRGB from sRGB in PSE or just leave the embedded profile as sRGB? Does this change if I plan to post them on my website? I've noticed that converting from one embedded profile to another doesn't really seem to change the on-screen colors unless you actually go from the file have NO embedded profile to having one or the other. What does the conversion actually do? Also, I have a Epson 4490 Photo Scanner. I have some slides that I want to scan and I don't see anything in the scan options regarding color space of any kind. Is there a way to specify this in the scanning process? What working color space should I import the scans to if I plan to print? What about scans for posting on my website? I would really appreciate any help and advice that anyone could give. Thanks for looking!!

Also, regarding the scanning question, what profile should I embed in the files? Thanks again.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think you should use Adobe RGB 1998 for the files that will be changed to CMYK to use in offset printer, it has more gamut than sRGB, when changing to CMYK color space. Especially with green color. If you wand to have embeded profile, you must set it in color setting in PS. And I think the scanner will work with that profile.
