Help! I am shooting my first wedding in a month and I need some help. any advice or suggestions would be great. I really need a list of must have shots. Any help anyone could provide would be much appricated. Thanks! Valerie

  This is hardly an end all list, but it is what I used when I did shoot weddings up to about 5 years ago.
To me, they were "must haves" to do a good job.

The bride alone
The bride and groom
The bride with her parents
The groom with his parents
The bride with her mother
The bride with her father
The groom with his mother
The groom with his father
The bride with her attendants
The bride with her honored attendant
The groom with groomsmen and ushers
The groom with his best man
The bride with the groomsmen
The groom with the bridal attendants
The bride with the children in the wedding
The groom with the children in the wedding
The bride and groom with entire wedding party
The bride and groom with bride's family
The bride and groom with the groom's family

  Excellent basic list, Pete.

However, imo you did miss a couple important ones, though:

The groom arriving at the bride's house - and seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time - to collect her to go to church (in cultures where the father doesn't "give away" the bride at the altar)
The ringbearer
The exchange of the rings
