Printing height volume of pictures I have volunteered to take photos at a charity event for homeless families and their children. When I initially volunteered to do this, I did not think about the high volume printing which would incur. Any suggestions on how to print desktop, i.e., on home type equipment? Thank you.

Out-source the printing, Robert. It'll be much cheaper than doing it yourself (printer, ink, photo paper! - and we're not even counting the time involved...). Much quicker too.

First of all, it's true that when you volunteer, it may cost you some, but commit yourself all the way. Thinking about the cost is normal. When you start worrying about the cost, you lose the sprit of volunteerism. On printing, I've read on this forum, someone prints his note cards, etc. for sale at art shows. He described how he manages his prints. I'll see if I can find that thread. It may be of some help.

I didn't make one thing clear because these people are homeless,I can't mail them their pictures.

It's not hard to see that... Regardless of where you print (out-source or do it by yourself), it's best to have the volunteer coordinator handle delivering part of it rather than delivering the photos by yourself. Locating these folks may not be an easy task. (Perhaps, I didn't make one thing clear; I do volunteer... Driving is a part of it and I also know that when the gas prices are high, the incurring expenses go up proportionally. Because, sometimes, driving is the major part of volunteer work.)
