color quality on my Nikon D100 I shoot with a Nikon 100 set at II color mode, using a Sigma 28-300 lens. My color quality is very dull and lifeless; primary colors on my prints are not bright at all. An suggestions?

If you are not using Photoshop to process what I call your digital negs, set your D100 to Mode III and you will see that will punch up your colors quite a bit. Ray

Maybe it's your lens. If you have access to a few prime Nikkors, try shooting a few test frames of a brightly colored subject. (A box of crayons works great for this.) When you examine and compare the results of both on a calibrated monitor, you will be able to determine if your Sigma is able to interpret colors accurately.
