Wide angle lense for NikonD70

Need an inexpensive wide angle lense for my NikonD70 for some very limited real estate shots. I have a couple of Tamron lenses that I really like, so wondering if the Tamron 28-80mm AF Wide Angle Zoom Lens for Nikon AF SLR would do for some real estate shots? P.S. I know there are some wonderful wide angle lenses out there for around $600, but hoping to keep this purchase under $100 for now. Thanks in advance... Debi

The Tamron 28-80 is a "wide angle zoom" on 35mm SLRs. On the smaller sized sensor of Nikon and other DSLRs, it is not wide angle. Wide angle lenses for the D70 would have focal lengths less than 20mm. The only such lenses available for around $100 are the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit zooms from Nikon and Sigma.

Awesome! Thanks for your quick response. I did find a Sigma Zoom Super Wide Angle 18-50mm for Nikon that I think we'll do the trick. If I start doing more RE shoots - I'll look into a Tamron. Debi
