Shutter release cord, from third party

http://cgi.ebay.com/For-CANON-EOS-30D-20D-10D-Shutter-Release-RS80N3-Remote_W0QQitemZ330039521050QQihZ014QQcategoryZ64345QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

for less than 20 bucks I found a shutter release cable on ebay, but it is made by a third party. Should I worry about the quality of this? I figured its not a big deal because its just a cable and doesnt affect image quality.

It only impacts your image quality if it fails to fire you shutter or worse, if it's electronic and shorts out your camera circuitry due to a miswire or an internal breakdown in materials like insulation. If you asked me whether I think it's worth saving a couple of bucks instead of buying an OEM cord or one by an outfit like Paramount Cords [http://www.paramountcords.com] I'd probably say ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.....no. ;>)
Take it light.
