Copying 35 MM Slides What is the best way to copy and edit several hundred 35 MM color slides to CD's. I currently have a dell computer with Photoshop 4 and an all purpose printer.

The most convenient way is with a scanner designed to hold a set of slides and feed and scan them automatically. Most have dust and scratch filters incorporated; some like them, others don't (they can soften the image if they are too aggressive. In any case you will still have to tune and clean up the images once they are on your hard disk. I did a couple of hundred earlier this year 1 by 1 with an attachment on a flat bed scanner: 3 minutes per slide plus all the time repairing the slides (many suffered from fungus damage). Go with the auto feed system if you can afford one ~ they are not cheap, but you might be able to hire one.
