Shooting Football


Using 70-200 nikon lens with
D70, getting blured pics, can you suggest settings or techniques

  Hi John, we need some more info....are you shooting during the day, or under lights at night? What ISO are you using? What focal length are you using? It's more difficult to hand hold the camera and lens at the outer limit of it's range, without camera shake. Are you shooting in sports mode, or aperature, or shutter priority? Are you using a tripod or monopod?

Answers to some of those questions would help give us more info to help you. Jess

  Shoot at higher iso, with a wide apeture to get a fast enough shutter speed. If you have to, shoot at highest iso. Shoot with players coming straight at you. Or players are moving across you, pan with them. Or use a flash strong enough to reach towards the middle of the field and shoot at highest sync speed at a wide apeture.
