Photography Question

Kelli-Jo

Copying my own photos from this website

I uploaded some of my photos and somehow deleted them from my hard drive at home, would like to be able to copy my own photos only from my premium gallery but the copyright thing blocks me. How can I get my own photos back in regular size, not thumbnail? thanks, kelli

You're basically stuck. You can't retrieve the compressed/shrunken file you originally uploaded to BP, for any of those images. Your best bet would be to go back to your camera's original files (assuming you diligently saved those--Rule #1 in digital photography!) and recreate whatever edits you did.

I'm glad you worked out how to retrieve your images from the site, Kelli-Jo. It's always risky telling people how to do it in case they are NOT trying to retrieve their own images, but someone else's.

However, the pictures you got back will not be your originals, but only 72dpi copies, and pretty useless if you want to print them out.

There is plenty of image recovery software available (much of it free) and I would suggest you obtain a package and see if you can recover the originals you deleted (Avira Unerase is good and free).

Of course, if you haven't emptied your recycle bin since you deleted the pics. they will still be in there ~ you can just open the recycle bin and restore the images!
