sensor cleaning
does the sensor cleaning have to be done every now and then?or do you have to wait for some signs to pop up?

You will know when it needs to be done. Your images will look poor, your skies will have specs of unidentified material in them. However, when this is noticable it is too late. Every so often, depending on how your equipment is stored, how often you shoot, etc. you should do a test shot and a cleaning. google cooper hill images for more instruction and products on this .
