It is an excellent choice. It has been the camera of choice for college courses for years. It is inexpensive with a good line of excellent lenses.

And it's pretty well-built, too. I bought mine at a pawn shop about 20 years ago, and it still works just fine. I don't use it much anymore, but I could if I wanted too. Chris A. Vedros
