CS2 Airbrush HELP

Hi you guys! I know you guys are so smart and I could really use your help! I recently updated to Photoshop CS2 from vr. 5.5. (yah, old I know) Problem is that I can no longer do my retouching. I used to use the airbrush and I love doing that and someone told me you can turn the airbrush "on" in the brush section, I figured that out butthe new airbrush doesn't act like the old one. Could someone tell me why it's not any different from the other brushes and how to make any of the options act like the old airbrush? I really need and I really miss my old 5.5 CS2 is actually frusterating me. I don't like the layout. I'm getting behind in retouching work. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

PLEASE HELP ME. THANK YOU!

-Courtney

what exactly do you want to do, and I mean exactly. I started off using PSCS2 so I don't know the old school stuff.

Well I used to use the airbrush for all of my retouching and it worked really well and I could do a great job with it and it was rather varsitile to my needs. I don't have that anymore and I just don't know if I'm not setting something right or if they removed it's old capabilities or what. How do you do retouching?

I retouch (in CS) using the healing brush ... it works miracles.

I also use the regular brush in lighten mode to get rid of dark circles under the eyes. Here is what I do: I select a soft brush and take the opacity down to about 20%. I go up top and change the mode from normal to lighten. I then hold down the Alt key (I'm using a pc) and click on an area close to the eys that is as light as I want to go and then paint over the area that is too dark. If you do this on a new layer you can make changes if need be.

I do the same thing for areas of the face that are excessively shiny ... I just do it in darken mode.

I've never used the airbrush ... so I don't know if this helped or if these kinds of things are what you were looking for. Lemme know.
