I would not use any filters (except maybe a soft focus for some of the formals). If you are shooting candids you don't want filters because most b&w filters rob you of anywhere from 1-3 stops of light and you need all the speed you can get. For formals, unless you've already experimented with fiters, you may not get the results you expect. A red filter will give you nice milky skin tones but unless the bride wears a bluish lipstick her lips will be white. A green filter can give nice bronze like tones to skin but that doesn't always look good on women. A yellow filter is probably your best bet if you want to try a filter. It gives good skin tones but will rob you of some light and can make it more difficult to focus in lower light.

Thanks Jeff.I will probably use the yellow filter you mentioned.I am using a 50mm which is fast enough,so a little light loss should not be detrimental. Also I was planning on taking outdoor day photo`s,so focusing will not be a problem.Regards Roland
