Photography Question

My pictures are too dark


I have a canon eos digital rebel xt 350d.When I take pictures with it on the lcd screen they look great,but when I down load them to my computer they are very dark.Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

  1. Decrease the birghtness on your LCD.

2. Use the histogram, not the image you see.

I two have the Rebel XT, you definately need to decrease your brightness on your LCD screen.

if you don't know what the histogram is, then look it up, read about it, search it and read your manual (I am at work and don't have the time to write about it) but you need to know what it is.

Also (naughty naughty) you sound like you are taking photos based on what the LCD screen is showing you, this screen is only indicative and does not give a good representation, you need to be using your light meter in your camera and exposing your photos based on that.

Read your manual it is all in it.
