Painters Requesting to Paint my Images - Fees

I have had inquiries from painters wanting to use my images to paint. What would one charge per image? They would like my images sent via email...any advise would be helpful. Thank you.

Hey Lorraine: Paint for what end use? You suppose it makes a difference??? Like a painting for the cover of Newsweek or maybe for a U.s. postage stamp or..............????? How many copies? First North American rights? What's the finished size of the painting? And NO !!!! You don't just drop them to someone by e-mail. You should have a written contract attaching a demo copy of the image stock delivery memorandum, AND the image should be registered with the U.S. copyright office before you send mail it by certified mail AFTER you've got a valid check as payment up front BEFORE they get to paint anything.

Me senses you need a background in photographic business practices eh?
Take it light ;>)
