You May Congratulate Me! Story time with Uncle Sipho...gather 'round, children.... Well, yesterday, I contacted a local Birmingham newspaper, geared toward the 21 to 30 something crowd to ask about advertising prices. Well, they soon sent me back the prices and I almost vomited! In the email, the ad exec said "If there's anything I can do to further assist you, let me know.", so I let him know. I told he could lower the durn prices. Well, he emailed back that maybe we could work out some sort of barter and for me to send him a link so he could view my work. I did, and he got right back to me saying that I had some "groovy art" and he wanted to set up an appointment to see my portfolio, as they have just moved to a new office and have bare naked walls that need photography, and he also wants to discuss me contributing to a feature called "Menu of Menus" they have coming up (it's like the best of Birmingham, food, stores, churches, clubs, people, etc).

that is great news, it reminds me of the day I saw myself on the back of a Milk Carton...don't know the distribution of the milk but I'm sure they made a lot of cartons...next goal...the post office wall.
