Photography Question

Patrycja Adamowska

Does every digital camera has a life time limit?

hi!I am wondering if it is possible that after taking some amount of pictures (Let say 8000) by the digital camera (I own the Canon Power Shot Pro1),the camera will not work as well as at the beggining? I noticed that problem with my camera. Now it is slower. It has problems, when I am taking a lot of picters at once. Than it kind of blocks ,or freez even... I didn't have that problem when camera was new. So is the mechanism inside is only for few years? And what now? Do I need to buy new camera? And after 3 years new again??? It doesn't make any sesne to me... Can somebody explain this to me??? Thanks.

I would try a new battery. With anything you start with the simple things first.

well..Brady... you still persist... hahahha But actaully is it possible that the mechasnism in the camera is getting slower or something like that? I read some camera reviews and somebody mention something very similar...About the mechanism... So is it possible? So quick?

Patrycja, just was at the tattoo parlor and Brady was getting your name tattoo'd on his arm...Anyways that camera is a good camera why don't you just send it into Canon for servicing. Are you sure your settings are OK. Do you have the camera on TV or Manual and it's tripping out on you...??? Sorry on the slang but you get what I'm trying to say. Call the Canon service number.

Patrycja, much as it pains me to agree with Brady, he may be correct. If your camera works properly for a single shot but slows down as you continue to shoot, your battery may be weak. Batteries do not hold full power for their entire life but rather get weaker as they age so it may have enough charge when you begin to shoot but may not have enough power for a sustained burst.

Brady, a gentleman would give a lady a compliment by saying she is pretty (which she is) but calling her a "hottie" is juvenile and insulting. Your immaturinty is showing.

Kerry, in Orange County CA Hottie is acceptable. Smokin babe, Nugget and Nectar are also compliments.
