regarding coolpix5700 When I triedt to use an UV Tiffin filter for my Nikon coolpix camera using the adapter ring of the same make, the monitor showed lens error a couple of times. And then the electronic view finder blacked out. It never worked again. I was told that the tip of the lens would have touched the filter causing the problem. It was recommended by BH photo of Newyork. Is it a possibility?

Touching a lens could break the camera? Not likely. (Maybe you could take it out with Tiffin.) Ariel
