Portable background stands and use of paper rolls

Hi, I am a new photographer and I want to do on-location work and have a small set up in my home, I am just beginning to buy all my equip and I'm looking at a portable background stand, just wondering if I could get a recommendation, it Weighs only 12 lbs. complete with its own carrying bag. Has less than 44" collapsed length. And it's easy to assemble, no tools required. It's versatile too. It has 2 non-reflective metal uprights can be used as lightstands when not employed as background supports. These sturdy uprights extend to a height of 8-1/2 ft. The telescoping crossbar mates to these stands and expands to 9-1/4 ft. Accommodates roll paper from 53" to 107" wide x 12 yds. long, adjusted to any height you desire. I guess the main thing I am concerned abou is the paper rolls, are these good to use for backdrops? I guess I wouldn't have to buy the paperrolls if I didn't want to, I could just buy regualar backdrops, suggestions anyone? Thanks :)

You know Lisa, I do a lot of location work too. When I need a background, I take along a neutral gray muslin with a pattern on it. Forget the stands. I also carry a roll of gaffers tape to hang it on a convenient wall or just drape it over whatever it needs to cover like a big tarp. Piece of cake. It fits in it's very own duffel bag I bought for about 5 bucks at a military surplus store. No tools necessary. ;>)

I don't take seamless paper on location shoots. It gets ripped, torn, bent, crumpled, walked on and dirty. If I need a seamless, and I rarely do, I just tell them to come to the shop.
