How much do I charge?

Hello. I have just been approached by a company to shoot there Spring/Summer 2007 catalog. The sell infant shoes and all of the models will be under the age of 2.
Has anyone done this before and what do you charge for this type of photo shoot.
Thank you for your help!!

First, since your subjects are less than 2 years old and you'll likely be dealing with one or both their parents, I suggest you put in for combat pay.

Beyond that, trying to answer your question as written, is like trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. While I'd be glad to help you out, you first need to meet with the client, the art-director, the stylist, whomever is doing the prepress work, find out what's required, estimate how much time you need to spend on all these things collectively and individually, material costs, assistants, make-up artists if any, and basically handle it like a professional shooting a catalog would. What's the plan Trudy?

Okie dokie?
Mark
[Oh and yep, I've shot many catalogs in my career for both government and private industry, with products and people or just products ;>)].

  Hi Mark,
I knew the question was pretty vague and realized after I posted it that it was going to be pretty hard to answer. However the good new is (I think it’s good news) I got the job. I met with them and got a price that I’m very happy with. I will be shooting 9 kids between one and two years old on location at a park so wish me luck!!!
Thank you once again.
Trudy
