New Nikon Edit Ware Anyone know anything about this new programme, which apparently won't just be for Nikon, but anyone can use it, and its going to give PS a run for its money in terms of pricing!! Apparently it'll be dead easy to use as well!

Robyn, Nikon announced their newest version of what used to be Capture - it's called Capture NX and includes some features from NIK software, with whom they made an agreement. At this point I believe it's available in beta (much like Adobe Lightroom, which, by the way, is now up for Windows for those of you who haven't wised up to Mac). However, Nikon's beta will not work on the Intel Macs, so I haven't had a chance to play with it. I've been looking into Apple's Aperture (this one is Mac only, however). It has some pretty spiffy features, but because it forces one to have a single database file (rather than an index to an external disk) I don't think I can really use it with a laptop's more limited disc space. However, on a feature basis - like for inspecting and doing basic editing, it sure looks like an interesting way to go.

Robyn - I downloaded and tried it out, and it (at least for me) had a few too many options. The deciding factor for me for removing the damned thing from my pc was HOW SLOW it was. SLOW. You can't imagine. Imagine running PSCS2 on an old "Speak 'n Spell" (do ya'll have those in SA?) and you will have an idea.

Hmm. I've got PSE4 and am quite happy with it (also got PSP9, which I can't drive properly!!) but was chatting to someone on Sunday during a race and it came up - just curious! :) Hope your foul is better :)!!
