No photography related, relaxing related.... Ok, after a long day, how do you relax and unwind. Well here in Oz, it is Winter, and FREEZING... I like nothing better than snuggling up in my dressing gown, with my heater, favourite show and my little luxury is..... Dipping a freddo frog into my cup of tea.. OMG you have to try it, I absolutely love it and can't relax until I get my melted freddo fix. I know you want to...... Warning: failure to remove freddo from the tea within 5 sec could cause headloss (on freddo that is) - you've been warned.... Ok, so how do you all relax a the end of the day?

I drink a beer, which for some reason makes me have to take a dump in which I unwind as I read Rangefinder and relax. After that I smoke a doobie and eat everything in the fridge (gotta store up for the morning read). Then, when my girl gets home from work I race her to orgasm and then fall instantly asleep. Thats not every day ,but I try.

Well Natalie, I spent 5 winters in Oz, 3 in Korea, 3 in the UK, 1 in Saudi Arabia, 1 in Hondurass and the rest of them here in the USA. I'm sorry, but the Oz winters are a piece of cake cold wise. I never had to wear heavier than a good jumper. But nothing beats a warm fire and a good movie or book. And I prefer Hot Cocoa.

Since this is a Photography website... I cuddle up with my 20D, I like to count my memory cards, I like to look at all of my photography equipment, and I LOVE TO browse bhphoto.com.

I tend to relax like most Americans...following the same ritual each day, which includes: *Thinking back to when I made my first $million,...and how difficult that was. *Polishing my Lear Jet. *Admiring all of my National Geographic and Time Magazine covers. Then,...I wake up into my REAL world and hustle off to work. :( Bob

ROFLMAO BOB!!! I have similar experiences - fending off phone calls asking me to work for National Geographic etc!! I get home, first thing to come off is watch, rings and any other jewellery, the kettle is switched on, clothes off, and seriously baggy tracksuite and slippers go on!! Now the scary part..... Make up comes off as well. As this is all happening, I switch on the kettle, greet the dog, check on dinner, yell at the kids to get off the computer so I can check the 487 comments on my photo's on BP ( yeah right!!!), answer the fan-club emails.... I then hit the traffic again (dressed as above, to schlepp one or other child to dancing, or whatever), then return home, and start the whole thing all over again.... kettle on, make the tea., check the email, eat supper, have a shower, leave again to fetch kids...... AAAAAAAArrrrgh...... sometimes I even pick up my camera!!! Brady you're such a stud-bunny you must be on Viagra, or not have kids - I can't stay awake long enough !!!

Okay, some parts of this thread are disgusting (Mr. Shady!), so let's stop that part right now and continue with family friendly (not making) BP quality stuff. How about it? How about viewing some MagicEye pictures when you're warming by the fire? They're cool (or should I say neat - forget the cold!), they're calming, they improve eyesight, and they're photo related! Well, after a long day of getting my daughter to swimming, tumbling then cheerleading...I then find time to do some work for the local animal shelter that I volunteer for. As of late, due to a surgery, I hadn't been shooting much...but that is going to start picking up again as I've had a full recover. OK...so how do I relax? A nice glass of red wine, daughter in bed sleeping, husband sitting next to me, talking about the day. Nothing better to relax by than a wonderful husband and sleeping child!

Brady, last time you confessed, you were 15 years old. Do I need to rustle up some proof? Well, right now, it's the middle of the summer, so I like to sit down with a good book, and an iced cappichino(hot one in the winter). BTW Margie, I'm glad your surgery went well!

Good one Kerry! As our gov't has repeatedly stated: "No child left behind"...or was it "No child's behind left alone". It's so hard to keep things straight these days. But back to Natalie's original query: Nothing is more relaxing to me than a warm sofa, a cold frosty brew, and an old movie on TV to help me to fall asleep and drift off into my nether-world of fame and fortune...and things that might have been. Bob

In non-bug season (that is not the summer here in New England!) I love sitting on a lawn chair behind the barn, knowing all the animals are safely in bed, sipping a cold one and listening to owls and other critters off in the distance. Then it's time to dream about turning fully pro and traveling the world. Ah, these dreams...
