Filter Information

Good Day, I am looking to purchase a good circular polarizer filter, but I need some advice. I have a number of lens with 52mm, 62mm, 67mm, 77mm, and 82mm filter size. Should I just purchase a polarizer in 82mm and use step up rings for the other lens. I hate to spend the money to buy one for each lens. But if I use step up rings, I won't be able to use my lens hoods with the smaller filter size lens. Any ideas.
Thanks
Wayne

I have a 55mm Opteka polarizer filter for my S5200. It's pretty good. Well, if you want the filter for all the different lenses, you really should get individual filters, because you want everything as close to the lens as possible. And these filters aren't so expensive!

I'm taking a BP class right now and someone asked the same thing....the instructor said buy the filter for the largest lens and then get stepup rings for the smaller ones.....
