Thank you both, I love looking at other's galleries. There are just so many variations and so many different levels of photography. From beginner to professional and everything in between. You can learn so much here from the galleries and reading these questions. Have a great day and thanks. Pat

I agree, you can learn a lot looking at others and reading critiques on theirs as much as you can when people critique your own work. I haven't been on this site long but it is great learning tool. I love people looking at mine and telling me what I can do differently or better. I get great ideas looking at others work too. Everybody does such good work.

Stacy you have some really great portraits. I agree with Mike, I too have trouble with portraits, I'm more into landscapes and seascapes. We all have our own little nitches, but I really do appreciate portraits. I'm sure you will love it here at BP, you won't meet a better group of photographers than we have here. Kathy in NH

Welcome Newbies, one of the things about this site is that you'll learn a lot by just reading the posts and looking at others photos...the site is a great place to look for answers to questions you may have and I always do a search of my question first to see if someone else asked it previously. As far a photography classes go you'll love the courses available at reasonable prices. I myself have not taken a course so my photos are considered just snapshots but with digital I can take 1000 photos and 1 is sure to turn out OK, WOW...I just realized my photography method is the same as my dating method...Even the blind chicken finds the corn every once in a while.JK

You guys are great...I'm so glad I decided to join, I have been viewing galleries from time to time but never had the nerve to upload my own. The images on this website are so beautiful I thought I couldn't compare...I'm kind of a simple person. So far I love it and the great words of encouragement are priceless...thank-you so much. Stacy

Hi Im old to the old people here and new to the new people who don't know me. My pictures are so great and yours might be too. I have my gallery on another website, just trying to figure out how to cut and paste it here. I hate reading my manual so I will be asking lots of questions and see if I can't milk all the answers out of you, so I can get better faster and overtake you all. This site is awesome, its so cool that we don't have to put a minipic of ourselves, so our future clients can't see that its us here asking questions on how to do their shoot that we will be charging them for and hopefully not mess up.

Brady specializes in fictional images at the moment and only posts his best work on this site. If you look closely at his gallery you'll notice some amazing white images shot against a white background. It is very difficult to obtain quality photos when your subject matter blends in with the background. Proper focusing when capturing these imaginary images is extremely difficult and should only be attempted by those with at least 20 years experience in photography, his ability to not only capture the subject matter and NAIL the proper exposure proves he's skilled beyond his years...Damn I'm kinda funny

Yes, and it truly shows how well rounded he is in this field...For a while he was focusing on capturing extremely dark images against a Black background. This not only proved he adapts well in difficult situations but sees photos in places the average individual sees nothing. His only companion during these shoots is his trusty companion, a dog that not only could see extremely well in the dark but would aid him by barking and pointing the direction he should aim, focus and shoot. He's writing the screenplay and sofar he's finished page one but his head is blank now.
