Photography Question

A.M. Kane

Sharing photos

Is there a site which will allow, without paying for a premium service:
1. Sharing of photos
2. View-only option so viewers cannot buy images....and
3. viewers do not have to be members of any organization? (i.e. "sign up" on the particular website)

In other words, I want to send email to friends and family, have them view my photos, not have to sign up for anything and not be able to just buy the images at their discretion through the service or otherwise print them.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I guess free galleries here are pretty limited but I think you can do all there here at BP. Yahoo photos lets you upload as many as you like and it's free. You can choose that they can't be printed. Viewing them isn't as much fun as a BP gallery. The size is a lot smaller.

A.M. the free gallery here at BP will do all of those. But you can only display 30 photos. If you want to pay for a premium gallery, (they're really inexpensive, only 30USD a year.) then you can have 300 photos displayed.

  Sorry, I lied. They're only 22USD a year.

Right here. There is a free gallery that you can display up to 30 photos. But there is no limitation of how many photos you can upload. Like me, I change all the photos in my gallery once in a while (I just did).

  A.M.,
Welcome to BP. I see you've signed up here just recently. Do surf this site and find out what this site is all about... and set up your free gallery first, and upload some of your work.
The free gallery is limited to 30 photos to display but you can upload as many as you wish. And for only $22/year, you can display your best 300 photos to showcase your work. In my opinion, 300 is a lot of photos and I really doubt many visitors will page through all 10 pages or more to view your images anyway. I usually have only 90 photos of less to show my photos.
It's a great site.

If you look around, there are other photo sites you may be able to do what you are wanting to do for free, but actually nothing comes free... Free sites usually come with Pop-up ads and other annoying requiremenets, etc...
Yahoo photo site may be good and I have used it in the past. One thing I liked about Yahoo Photo was to be able to create albums so that I could group, categorize the photos in different albums...
