Photography Question

Canon EOS-30D lenses...?

Hi! I have a dilemna right now.. I'm preparing to buy a new SLR camera. With the replacement of the EOS 20D by the EOS 30D,I am very interested in buying the Canon EOS 30D. But the problem is that there is a lot of kit. Each one with a different Sigma lense. But the one that I will probably take is the CANON 30D/ 18-55 mm kit. It is, , in US money, 1607.21$. Is that resonable, or should I just buy the body without the lense???? I really don't know what to do. PLEASE help me !

Thank you.
:)

Locally, I've seen the 30D body-only on sale recently for about $1330. So if you have access to body prices like that, then it becomes a simple question of whether the lens in the kit, if sold alone, is a good deal at about $280?

If you pay $1607.21 for the 30D and the EF 17-55mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens, you are paying TOO MUCH. Here's one from B&H. Take a look:

By the way, if that high price comes with those junk tripod, bag, cleaning kit stuff, I would suggest you to foget it. Hope this help.

Thank you for the site .. And if in any case I buy the camera from BH photo video, is there good feedbacks and a good satisfaction percentage????

B&H is pretty highly regarded, and well-used/trusted by many BP members.

You would have a hard time finding a source for photography gear that is as highly rated and well respected as B&H Photo.

Check this link for B&H Photo's review at www.resellerratings.com:

B&H Photo

Reseller Ratings is a handy site for reading about other customers' experiences with various online dealers.

Good luck,
