event pricing I am submitting an proposal to photograph an event for an organization that has seven different dates spanding from June 17 throught november 11. I am charging my base hourly rate for my time, but I am having problems adding in the cost for the prints requested. The organization is requesting one set of 4x6 prints for all the dates covered, each event lasting at least 2.5 hours. How should I price this?

$500 for non-edited, unmarked, out of camera first-edition 4x6 prints. You add in your price, not your cost. Above would be my proposal. This would not be subject to negotiation, although, without knowing all the details going into the pricing, it's hard for me to say. putting myself in the situation, knowing the little I know, at this point, above would be my price. Lastly, calculate all of your time...post-production, driving, prep mtgs, post-meetings...not just shooting time.
