Software

I am looking for help in finding an inexpensive photo editing program that ehances objects in black and white / or sepia tone with color. I have looked online and am not sure what the feature is called. Any help appreciated!

You could call this selective coloring or selective desaturation. You can achieve this by selecting an object with a selection or marquee tool, then either desaturating the color from the rest of the image, or adding color to the selected object.

I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro, and it can do this and practically anything else that PhotoShop can do. It can also use most plugins that are made for PhotoShop. The latest version (2006) can also open RAW files from Canon & Nikon directly, without having to convert them first.

It runs about $99, but you can usually find it on sale for $49 or less.

If you have any specific questions about it, I'd be happy to help.

Virtual Photographer is great, it's absolutely free. Alien Exposure is INCREDIBLE, but runs about 200 bucks.
