How to shoot moving water & give it that silky I have a digital camera, Fuji 5200 - and a standard 35mm... How do you take pictues of moving water, like water falls and get that look that makes the water looks like silk coming down? Does that make any sense? We have several waterfalls in our area, but all my photos are just OK because I don't know how to give them that edge.

Very easy, you'll have to get a tripod, a ND filter, and set a long exposure time. That's all.

Don't forget the Neutral Density filter. You'll need it for long exposure times and bright natural light.

Don't forget to do a search here on betterphoto.com. You can probably find a million Q&A threads about this and get even more info without having to type more stuff here. Hope it works for you though!

Hi Linda; Don't forget some type of remote release. If you try to trip the shutter with your finger, you'll get camera shake. If your camera doesn't have remote release capability, Porter's Camera (www.porters.com) has a strap designed to go around a camera that has a threaded socket for a cable release. Have fun and keep shooting,
