Photoshop Quirk that Urks me
Does this happen to anyone else.Sometimes I could be working in photoshop either 7 or CS2 and my cursor will turn into a faint cross only, doesn't matter what I am doing (ie paint brush, croping, clonning etc) all I get is a cross. This is really frustrating when I am erasing or using the clone tool cause I can't see how big my brush is, I have to guess it! Only way I have worked out how to get around the problem, is to close the computer down completely and reboot. Not even closing PS and reopening helps. Seems to happen when I open a group of photos at once most of the time. Everytime I am in PS I am always worried my brush is going to turn into this dredded cross half way through editing a pic. Any thoughts.

You have the Caps Lock button on!!! I hate it too ... it drives me absolutely CRAZY! It happens when I mean to push Tab and miss.
