Legitimate photo contests? I was just reading through the thread about the "International Library of Photography". Aside from the contest sponsored by BetterPhoto, are there any other contests out there that are legit (i.e. they don't charge you ridiculous amounts to enter or to "win")?

I don't know. I too have entered through the better picture site and have received these glowing letters about my image, asking me to spend money. As soon as they ask me to give them money, I start putting all of their correspondence in the rubbish.

My thoughts were posted on the same page as your question under "Endless Journeys" on June 5 or 6th. Since I posted last I have received both books I ordered (to the tune of $135.00) with my photo published as they promised. The title ended up being "Impressions of Yesterday". Odd, eh? Of course, they said that "Endless Journeys" was a "working title" only.......Anyway, the format of the pages is more like thumbnails than exclusivity. Many and small per page. Clarity is good and page gloss is fair, in my opinion. I am very happy to finally receive them, one was for my daughter, whose son is the picture I entered..... Ole...
