a friend gave me her old photoshop 7 program. I have some limited experience with other less intense programs. can anyone recommend a good "How to " book for photoshop 7? everything out there seems to be focused on other versions of the program.claudia

I just took Photoshop 7, Virtual Classroom, out of the library. It includes a CD show by the author, Ken Milburn. Photoshop 7 is an old program [2002.] But it's good! You can get this book from Amazon. And, of course, there's always the Photoshop 7 Bible.

I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a book, which includes a CD-Rom with images to use as you work along with the book. I got the book at Books-a-Million. There are also good tutorials and video tips on websites like Planetphotoshop.com. Training DVDs that aren't really expensive are available at Photoshopvideos.com. I've found training DVDs to be very helpful. Some are for CS2, which is the version of Photoshop I have now, but a lot of the information applies to 7 as well. Sam

Photoshop classes can cost several hundred dollars. I paid 11 dollars for 6 - three hour classes at my local community college. The funnest 18 hours I ever spent in school. All for 11 dollars. Check out your local Community College.
