One day in Seattle I have one day free to do whatever I want in Seattle or surrounding area. Have a car, a map and a camera. Were should I go?

Starbucks, the original Starbucks below the Public Market at Pike Street. ;>) Pike St. Market while you're there. Julias Kitchen for breakfast, B&O up on Capitol Hill for deserts, the Air & Space Museum at Boeing field, ride the ferry system, and if you had another day, take the ferry up to Victoria Island. It's beautiful and the food is great. Anything else you can get your eyes on.

I'd hate to visit Seattle and miss the Space Needle!

Good thought Sharon. I never think about places with spinning objects that come to sharp points on top. Reminds me too much of my own head. LOL !! M.

KV Day |
If it was me, I would take the ferry over to Bremerton up to Port Angeles and if you time it early enough, over to Victoria Island, flowers must be in bloom. Great scenes and ride. Chilly misty mornings. Too bad you have only a day its so much to see and do, Ruby Beach on the coast, Olympic Rain forest always a must, MOUNT RAINER SUNSET...!!! The Most amazing one I ever saw was there when I lived in the northwest. I loved going north and see all the houseboats. Can beat the Seattle Aquarium and Pike Street area. Most northern lighthouse is nice, friends of mine lived there for years with the Coast Guard, just beautiful up there. I am due for a trip back. (make sure you get lots of smoked fish and oysters) lol

Thank you all for the suggestions.I was cruising Seattle web sites and the city has so much to offer.Vicki's reference to "smoked fish and oysters" clinched it, however. The Olympic Penninsula it is. Maybe I can get an evening shot of the Space Needle and a cup of Starbucks on the way back to the hotel. Thanks again.
