Digital Metadata How do I tell if a photo is an original Digital image or a scanned image from it's metadata or header?

You can't, necessarily, since there are editors which allow you to modify the EXIF data. Also, the proccessing of the image often strips off any metadata, depending on what you use a photoeditor, and what the workflow is. If you trust the data, the easiest way would be to use an EXIF reader and see what is in the file. I use the Opanda PowerEXIF program, a free version is available.
