PSE 4.0 Color Space question...

I have a question regarding the working color space. I'm using Photoshop Elements 4.0 with an Epson R1800 printer. If the images I'm editing and printing were captured in sRGB color space, should I always load them into PSE using sRGB source and working space? Is it okay to set the color and source space to AdobeRGB(1998) if I'm loading, editing, and printing images that were captured using sRGB? If so, is there any advantage to doing this? I'd really appreciate any input on this. Thanks.

Just to clarify, when I mentioned working space, I was referring to the settings found under...Edit > Color Settings,...where you can choose between optimizing for screen or print, or turing color management off. When talking about source space I meant the option found under the print preview under "Color Management, Source Space:..." Which I believe would be the embedded profile assuming there is one. So is it ok to make it AdobeRGB for an image that was captured in sRGB? Thanks.
