Minor irritant with new site design This is truly a minor, but annoying, irritant that I keep encountering with the new site design. I am wondering if anyone has a solution, or if this is something that is unique to my connection/computer. It used to be that I could enter my e-mail address and my password would automatically fill in [after I have entered the password previously]. Now when I enter my e-mail address I must also manually enter the password each time. Neither my e-mail address nor my password has changed in at least a year or more. As I say, it’s very minor, but if it easy to resolve, I’d like to resolve the problem. Thanks!

I've ALWAYS had to physically enter my password,...after my e-mail address was selected. It sounds like a setting on your computer might be the cause.

Think that's a cookie. The things that keep track of pages visited, and what you often type in, like logging in. Think it's also involved in spyware. So it might be a security thing, or they haven't put knew cookies in.

Thanks Greg, for "clearing it up"...(in your typically cryptic manner).

I suspect that Greg is right on the money. "Cookies" will track your info and allow you to "auto-password" (if that is what you call it). But, since this only happened after the new web site design took place, I suspect it is just one of those little wrinkles that will work out over time. As I first said, its no big deal, just an annoyance because I'm lazy!

Just Click Sign In Without Entering The Info And It Takes You To The Old Sign In Page Where Your Email And Password Is Stored:-) I Know Its And Extra Click, Not Sure Why It Wont Store The Password on The 1st Page?

The problem is that your computer remembers your password for a particular page. So right now it remembers your password for the sign in page, but not the home page. Once you enter it on the home page, it should ask if you want to remember your password - click yes and your all set. Now, if you try to enter your password from, say, the 'new questions' page, then this is a different page and your password is not stored for this page until you enter it the first time from this particular page. And so it will be for every different page you try to log in from, until you've entered it in from every page on the site.
